Delete your Fashlens account

Last updated: October 16, 2026

You can delete your Fashlens account, and the data linked to it, at any time. There are two ways:

Deleting is permanent. Your history and saved items can't be recovered afterwards. Uninstalling the app doesn't delete your account.

Never finished the age check? If you chose Sign in on the first screen and then closed the app or signed out at the age question, you don't need to do anything: an account that never finishes the age check is deleted automatically once 7 days have passed since it was last used (created, signed in to, or opened in the app), in the same way as below (see How long deletion takes). To delete it straight away instead, open the app (sign in again if you signed out) and tap Delete account at the bottom of the age screen.

Before you delete: cancel Fashlens Pro

Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription. Apple or Google keeps charging you until you cancel it in their store. Before you confirm, the app tells you: "It doesn't cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription: cancel that in your store account's subscriptions."

Deleting your account doesn't refund a subscription. Refunds go through Apple or Google, as explained on our Support page.

Delete your account by email

You don't need the app for this.

  1. Email business@kindmovelabs.com with the subject "Delete my account".
  2. Send it from the email address of your Fashlens account. That's the address Apple or Google shared with us when you signed in. If you still have the app, it's shown in Profile, under Account.
  3. If you used Apple's Hide My Email, your account's address ends in "@privaterelay.appleid.com". You can also find it in your iPhone's Settings, under Sign in with Apple. Put that address in your email.
  4. Writing from a different address? Tell us your account's email address and, if you can, your user ID (in the app: Profile > About > User ID). We'll then write to your account's address and ask you to confirm before we delete anything.

We usually reply within 2 business days. We delete the account within 30 days of your request, usually much sooner, and email you when it's done. If you'd like a copy of your data first, say so in the same email. Never send us your password or payment details: we don't need them.

Parents and guardians can ask us to delete their teen's account the same way. Tell us the email address your teen signed in with, and we'll ask for details that show the account is your teen's. If you think a child under 13 has an account, email us and we'll delete it. When the account holder is under 13, we keep even less afterwards: see If the account holder is under 13.

Delete your account in the app

  1. Open Fashlens.
  2. Tap Profile (the person icon at the top right of the camera screen).
  3. Under Account, tap Delete account.
  4. Read the message and tap Delete account to confirm.

On iPhone, if you signed in with Apple, Apple may ask you to confirm with a quick sign-in. This lets us disconnect Fashlens from your Apple ID.

Still setting up, waiting for a parent's approval, or blocked? Tap Delete account at the bottom of that screen, then Delete.

When it's done, you're signed out and the app shows "Your account was deleted."

What we delete

If you signed in with Google, deleting doesn't remove Fashlens from your Google Account's list of connected apps. You can remove it yourself at https://myaccount.google.com/connections.

What we keep, and for how long

A few records stay after your account is deleted. None of them contains your photos, thumbnails, hints or results.

What we keep Why How long
A "free first scan used" mark for the phone that used your free first scan: the device ID the app made for it (on Android, a scrambled one-way form of the phone's Android ID), the scan's ID and the date. No longer linked to an account. Not kept if the account holder is under 13. So deleting and re-creating an account doesn't give the same phone another free first scan. As long as Fashlens runs.
A "free first scan used" mark for your sign-in: a scrambled (salted one-way hash) form of your Apple or Google sign-in ID, and the date. We keep only the scrambled form, never the ID itself. Only kept if the account used its free first scan, and not kept if the account holder is under 13. So signing up again with the same Apple or Google account doesn't give another free first scan. As long as Fashlens runs.
Scan attempt records: the time, the type of scan, the outcome, timings, what it cost us, your phone's device ID and, for Pro scans, a scrambled form of the subscription's ID. No longer linked to an account. We never store your IP address itself: a scrambled form is kept with each record for 3 days, then erased. If the account holder is under 13, the device ID, the scrambled IP address and the scrambled subscription ID are removed at once. Scan limits, stopping abuse, managing costs and seeing how well Fashlens works. 90 days after each scan.
A deletion marker: a scrambled (salted hash) form of your account ID. To recognise and ignore late purchase notices about a deleted account. 180 days (24 hours if the account holder is under 13).
Purchase notices that RevenueCat sent our server, such as a renewal or a cancellation. They include your former account ID, the product, price, currency, store country and transaction IDs. Billing records, and fixing billing problems. 90 days after each notice arrived.
Your account ID on our server's follow-up list. About 30 minutes after a deletion, our server checks RevenueCat, our photo storage and Supabase's sign-in log once more and removes anything that a scan or sign-in still running at the time left behind. Removed once that check is done, usually within an hour.
Teen accounts only, if a parent withdrew consent: scrambled (salted hash) forms of the app store's ID for the install and of the Apple or Google sign-in, with the date of the withdrawal. Not kept if the account holder is under 13. So deleting and re-creating the account doesn't get around the parent's decision. 180 days.
Database backups at Supabase. Recovering from a failure. Up to 7 days.
Logs: our server's logs, and the request logs of our hosting providers, Render and Supabase. Our own logs show only a shortened or scrambled form of your account ID, never your photos, hints, email address or results. The providers' logs can include your IP address. Running the service, security and fixing problems. Up to 30 days.
Emails you sent us, including your deletion request. A record of what we did. At most 2 years.

Some data is kept by other companies under their own rules:

Our Privacy Policy has the full details.

If the account holder is under 13

Nobody under 13 may have a Fashlens account. When we delete an account because the App Store, Google Play, the app's age check or a parent shows that its holder is under 13, we keep less than the table above:

The rest of the table still applies: the follow-up list, purchase notices, database backups, logs and emails expire as listed. A scrambled form of the install's ID that appeared in Google Play's list of withdrawn approvals is kept until 180 days after it last appeared there, so the same list isn't applied twice. A parent's withdrawal of consent recorded for another person's account that used the same install or Apple Account stays too (180 days): it belongs to that account.

If you sign up again later

You can sign up again with the same Apple or Google account. You'll start with a new, empty account: your old history and saved items can't be brought back. If you used your free first scan, you won't get another one. If a parent had turned Fashlens off for a teen's account, the new account stays turned off until a parent approves again. We keep that record for 180 days.

Delete some data but keep your account

To stop Fashlens sending your photos for analysis, without deleting anything, tap Profile > Privacy > AI photo analysis, then Withdraw consent. Fashlens then sends no photos until you agree again.
